From Monday 14th to Sunday 27th April, Stoke-on-Trent came alive with Easter HAF 2025 – a two-week programme packed full of fun, food, and fantastic experiences for children and young people across the city. With 325 events and nearly 10,000 places filled, it’s safe to say this Easter was a cracking success!
The continued success of the programme is down to remarkable teamwork. Thanks to the ongoing partnership between Stoke-on-Trent City Council, the Department for Education, and The Hubb Foundation, we’re able to reach and support more families year after year.
A big highlight this year was the introduction of our brand-new booking platform, Eequ. Parents and carers found the system incredibly user-friendly, helping us to fill 9,970 places.
Thanks to funding from the Department for Education and the support from our incredible partners, young people took part in a variety of activities, including:
Sports & Fitness Fun – Archery, dodgeball, handball, team challenges, multisport camps, football, boxing & fitness, table tennis, trampolining.
Creative and Culinary Adventures – Cookery fun, smoothie making, face painting, balloon modelling, Easter arts & crafts, and of course, Easter egg hunts!
Music & Nature – DJ production, music sessions, and nature exploration gave young minds a chance to express themselves and reconnect with the world around them.
A Stage Full of Stars
A standout feature of this year’s programme was the four-day backstage project at the New Vic Theatre, where children explored the hidden magic of theatre. They learned everything from lighting and sound to props, costume, and working with industry professionals – uncovering the ‘hidden heroes’ who bring the stage to life!
Life Skills That Last
60 children became trained Mini Medics across different venues – gaining valuable first aid skills that could one day save a life.
34 fantastic day trips created memories that families will cherish for years. And Charlie’s Golden Ticket performance was a heart-warming showcase of honesty, determination, and family involvement.
We’ve provided not only engaging activities for children from Reception to Year 11, but also healthy meals for every child attending – helping to support their physical wellbeing and energy levels throughout each session. Take a look at our Easter gallery:

From all of us at the Easter HAF team – thank you for making this holiday time so special. We can’t wait to see what the Summer HAF brings! Until next time, check out our Facebook page to see more highlights
