Carol founded the Hubb Foundation in 2018, which continues to expand to help more and more families and extend the range of support it offers to young people. She is heavily involved in the local community, for instance acting as co-chair of the ‘Opportunity Area’ board, and has been awarded two honorary doctorates from Keele University and Staffordshire University.

A former Police Chief Constable of Staffordshire, with a career spanning over 33 years in the police force.
Jane worked in roles including uniformed operations, drugs investigation and professional standards. As a senior officer, she led the force response to many high-profile operations including the national disorder in 2011, the London Olympics in 2012 and a number of terrorist incidents.
After leaving policing, Jane joined the University of Staffordshire, lecturing in policing until 2023 and became an Associate Professor of Policing Practice.
In 2017 Jane was awarded the Queen’s Police Medal for her outstanding contribution to policing. She is a Deputy Lieutenant for Staffordshire.
In addition to chairing the Hubb Foundation, Jane is a board member at the Sports Ground Safety Authority, and the YMCA North Staffordshire. She is also a patron of the Police Arboretum Memorial Trust and ASIST, a charity which provides specialist independent advocacy support for people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and/or mental health issues.
Pam was appointed as a Trustee in May 2024 and has over 20 years’ experience in Risk & Regulatory Compliance positions covering the financial services sector.
She has demonstrated effective operation of Compliance programs and teams, governance arrangements, board reporting and mergers & acquisitions.
Throughout her career she has been actively involved in mentoring and volunteering opportunities within her community and industry and is known for her dedication, hard work and positive impact on those around her.
Mark is a former principal, executive principal and education director for over 24 years in a career spanning over 40 years in education. He is now semi-retired acting as an executive for leadership development in a Stoke-on-Trent Trust. He also delivers National Professional Qualifications for Headship and Executive Leadership on behalf of the Best Practice Network. He was a trustee of a large multi academy Trust from 2016-2020 and was a board member of the Stoke Opportunity Area chairing the education strand of the initiative. More latterly he is a member of the Priority Education Investment Area. In recognition of his work, he was bestowed an Honorary Doctorate in 2019 for services to education in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent through Staffordshire University.

Whilst engaged in an international business career, David has been involved in the voluntary sector in Staffordshire for many years in governance in Education in the secondary sector and Further Education. He has also served as a Trustee of The Haywood Foundation, and since 2022 as a Trustee of The Hubb Foundation.

Nicky’s background is in Social Work within Youth Justice, where she worked for over 20 years, developing and delivering programs of change for young people and their families.
She worked in partnership with the police, education, housing and the courts, identifying and managing risk both within the community and custodial settings.
For the last 10 years, Nicky has focused on transformation and behaviour change, and in 2019 set up Thrive & Shine, a Wellbeing Hub based in Staffordshire. They work in businesses to deliver stress risk assessments and ensure business and wellbeing strategies align with a culture of improvement and support.
Nicky delivers training to not for profit organisations as part of Thrive & Shine’s CSR strategy, ensuring at least 20% of their time is contributory and free of charge.
Jon is an accomplished hands on Finance Director and Non Executive Director with over 35 years combined experience in public practice, industry, corporate finance and private equity sectors.
He has a wealth of experience gained from working with start ups, growing businesses, SMEs, entrepreneurs, private equity backed businesses and not for profits.
He has worked across many sectors including Manufacturing, Ecommerce, Multi-channel Retail, Consumer and FMCG.
For the last 12 years he has been Chairman of Leek Town Football Club, successfully navigating them through Covid, a £700k Football Foundation stadium redevelopment project and promotion.
Recently semi-retired he now operates as a fractional FD and joined the Hubb Foundation as Trustee in March 2025.
