DISADVANTAGED TEENS TAKE EASTER CAREER STEPS IN CONSTRUCTION

RECORD EASTER HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES FOR STOKE-ON-TRENT CHILDREN

A RECORD number of free Easter holiday sessions to spark the ambitions and creativity of young people across Stoke-on-Trent have been launched by The Hubb Foundation. Activities for teenagers include Introductions to Plumbing, Joinery and Electrics courses and an innovative podcasting course along with fun sport and dance classes as part of the record-breaking 10,500 free HAF (Healthy Activity and Food) opportunities at venues across the city.  The programme, delivered in partnership with Stoke-on-Trent City Council, will see more than 300 events hosted at schools and community venues between March 30th and April 10th for the city’s 17,500 schoolchildren between Reception and Year 11 who are eligible for free school

HUBB FOUNDATION AND JCB LAUNCH £375,000 HALF-TERM PARTNERSHIP

STOKE-ON-TRENT charity The Hubb Foundation and Staffordshire digger giant JCB have this week launched a unique partnership to ensure thousands of vulnerable children across the city have free half-term holiday activities throughout the year. Serving Up Good News – HAF Programme Extension

Brilliant news for families up and down the country – the Government has confirmed a £600 million investment to extend the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme for another three years. Since its national rollout in 2021, HAF has been transforming school holidays by offering children from low income families access to free meals, fun activities, and safe spaces. The programme has already reached more than half a million children in the last year alone.
