Behind Every Statistic Is a Story
In Stoke-on-Trent, nearly 40% of children qualify for free school meals. It’s a shocking figure that reflects deep rooted challenges and it’s not getting better on its own.
We’re proud to say that we’re currently reaching 90% of those vulnerable children and families, offering not just meals, but meaningful support. In five years, we’ve provided over 1 million meals – a lifeline for thousands.
Hunger is only part of the challenge. Children in poverty often miss out on the experiences, encouragement, and emotional security that help shape their future.
The Hubb Foundation supports families during the times they need it most – school holidays and weekends, offering a safe, supportive space for children to thrive. From sport and creativity to warm meals and mental wellbeing activities, we’re helping young people to have fun, build confidence and make memories.
So far, we’ve created over 200,000 free holiday activity places across 5,000 safeguarded sessions in schools and trusted community venues, but we can’t stop now…
