Get ready Stoke-on-Trent! The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme is back this summer with an exciting lineup of activities, delicious food and enriching experiences for children and young people. Running from Monday, 21st July to Sunday, 31st August 2025, the Summer HAF sessions are completely free for eligible families and promise to make this holiday one to remember.
Thanks to our amazing partners, this year’s summer programme is packed with fun, food and adventures designed to support local families and help children thrive through the school holidays.
What Is the HAF Programme?
The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme is a government-funded initiative that provides free holiday sessions for children aged 5 to 16 (including 4 year olds in reception) who are eligible for benefits related Free School Meals (FSM) and attend a Stoke-on-Trent school. These sessions include:
✔️ Healthy meals
✔️ Physical activities
✔️ Creative and enrichment experiences
✔️ Opportunities to make new friends
The goal is to bridge the holiday experience gap by offering safe, engaging and nutritious holiday provision to children who may otherwise miss out as school holidays can be challenging for many families. New for 2025: Easier Booking with Eequ
This summer we’re excited to introduce our brand-new booking system – Eequ!
Designed to make the process simpler than ever, Eequ lets parents search, book and manage their sessions online with ease. Use the link to create your Eequ account or if you are already registered, log in here. You’ll be able to browse local activities and book your child’s place.

Note: Some schools will be running their own HAF sessions directly. To check if your child’s school is hosting a programme, please contact them directly for more details.
