The renowned Hubb Pots Project has secured additional funding to continue its impactful work for another quarter. With an extra £20,000 now allocated, the project will expand its reach, offering essential support to those in need in Stoke-on-Trent.
The ongoing impact of our slow cooker projects…
Our slow cooker projects have been running continuously since the end of the COVID-19 pandemic where we offered essential support to those in need through weekly food parcels. These parcels, designed for use with the slow cookers provided by The Hubb Foundation have been a crucial resource for families in our community.
The programme today currently provides a slow cooker, a recipe book, and food vouchers to be redeemed at a shop of the family’s choice over the course of 6 weeks.
The project’s goal at the end of the six-week programme is to support families by providing resources and to help family members develop skills to create nutritious, and delicious meals.
“With funding, the Hubb Pots Project has resulted in the provision of over 72,000 meals that our community have cooked for themselves at home” Sheena Bateman, Funding Partnership Manager at The Hubb Foundation |
A Recipe for Success: Prickly Peach Films Showcases the Hubb Project
We approached Prickly Peach Films, an award-winning video production agency situated in Congleton, Cheshire to produce a series of impactful videos with three key objectives: promote the Foundation’s project to families in need, educate them on how to use slow cookers with provided recipes, and showcase the project’s success to attract future support.
Tom Beecham of The Hubb Foundation praised the collaboration stating, “Prickly Peach Films have absolutely smashed this.” And the production company echoed this enthusiasm saying, “We’re immensely proud to help promote such a fantastic project that has helped and will continue to help so many people across Stoke-on-Trent.”
With these videos, The Hubb Foundation is set to reach even more families helping to continue the mission to provide essential support where it is needed most.
We are fortunate to work with a number of fantastic partners throughout the city, but we are always grateful for any additional funding, or help in volunteering.
