Hubb Pots Cook & Eat is about more than cooking. It’s about sharing skills, building confidence, and bringing people together around food.
As the Hubb Pots project continues to evolve, we remain committed to supporting families not just through difficult times, but towards a healthier and more confident future.
A Project That Keeps Growing
Our slow cooker projects have been running continuously since the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, when we first stepped in to provide essential support to families facing difficult times. What began as weekly food parcels quickly became a lifeline for many local households. These parcels, designed for use with the slow cookers provided by The Hubb Foundation, have been a crucial resource for families in our community, helping them prepare nutritious, affordable meals at home.
Families now receive slow cookers, air fryers, recipe books, and food vouchers, providing six weeks of meal support and far more versatile cooking options. This evolution reflects our commitment to long term, practical help, supporting families not just to eat well today, but to build confidence and skills for the future. Since launching in 2021, the Hubb Pots Project has received widespread praise and recognition, now supporting well over 2,000 families across Stoke-on-Trent.
Hubb Pots Cook & Eat Sessions Return by Popular Demand
Following the success of last year’s sessions, Hubb Pots Cook & Eat is back this February and March with another series of friendly, hands on FREE air fryer cooking sessions taking place across Stoke-on-Trent.
These informal demonstrations led by Harjinder Kaur, known as Harji, founder of Indian Fusion, support families and individuals to prepare healthy, budget friendly meals using an air fryer, with practical advice that can be easily used at home.
Harji is a passionate fitness, yoga, water, and boxercise instructor who uses her skills to promote cultural diversity, wellbeing, and inclusivity. Her mission is to keep people active, connected, and inspired, whether in schools, community settings, or larger cultural events, making her a perfect fit for the Hubb Pots Cook & Eat sessions.
Each session combines practical cooking tips with shared mealtimes in a relaxed, welcoming setting, giving even more people the opportunity to discover just how versatile an air fryer can be. From quick midweek meals to healthier family favourites, participants are often amazed at what they can create, proving that nutritious, affordable cooking doesn’t need to be complicated.
Everyone who attends a Hubb Pots Cook & Eat session will receive:
🥘 A FREE air fryer
🧺 Ingredients to take home
📖 A 200 recipe air fryer cookbook
Funded through the Government’s Household Support Fund, the project supports local residents who are finding everyday costs challenging. Eligibility is checked confidentially as part of the booking process.
