Diwali 2025 – A Festival of Light, Community & Giving

Last year’s Diwali celebration with Indian Fusion was sold out, and with only a few tickets remaining this year, it’s clear that our community is just as excited to come together again.

Doing it bigger and better this year, once again our partner Harji from Indian Fusion is the organiser behind the Diwali 2025 Charity Event – raising money for The Hubb Foundation.

Following the great success of last year’s celebration, this year promises to be even more unforgettable, and everyone is welcome. (no tickets will be available on the door)

Shining a Light on Community and Charity

Diwali, the Festival of Light, is a time to celebrate new beginnings, hope, and the power of togetherness. For us at The Hubb Foundation, it is also a chance to shine a light on the importance of supporting families and children across Stoke-on-Trent.

Every ticket purchased helps us raise vital funds to continue this mission and this year’s event is particularly exciting as it forms part of the 100 Years of Stoke-on-Trent celebrations – making it not just a community gathering, but also a moment in history for our city.

To support the Diwali charity event further, a raffle hamper has been supplied by Heron Foods, Abbey Hulton – huge thanks to the store manager for making this possible.

Meet the Host – Harji from Indian Fusion

The Diwali Charity Event is brought to life by Harjinder Kaur (Harji), founder of Indian Fusion. Harji is a passionate fitness, yoga, water, and boxercise instructor who uses her skills to promote cultural diversity, fitness, and wellbeing.

Through Indian Fusion, established in May 2023, she delivers a wide range of activities including Bollywood and Bhangra dance, yoga, meditation, gym based chair exercises, and authentic Indian cookery sessions. Her mission is to keep people active, connected, and inspired – whether at schools, parties, community gatherings, or larger cultural events.

Indian Fusion is rooted in community support, creativity, and cultural pride, with a clear aim: to inspire, entertain, and make a positive impact while celebrating diversity.

Here’s what Harji had to say about choosing The Hubb Foundation as her charity partner:

“I chose The Hubb Foundation as my charity partner because their mission closely aligns with my own values of community support, wellbeing, and inclusivity. They focus on providing opportunities for children, young people, and families to thrive through activities, food, and education. This connects perfectly with what I do – using dance, fitness, and cultural activities to bring people together, promote healthy lifestyles, and build confidence…”

What to Expect on the Night

Attendees can look forward to a vibrant evening filled with music, Bollywood and Bhangra dance, delicious authentic Indian food, non-alcoholic drinks, fun games, and a raffle. Harji has ensured the event is inclusive and welcoming, with activities designed for all ages, abilities, and backgrounds – so everyone can feel part of the celebration.

“Diwali is about diversity. We come together and share our festivals as one community, which makes it very unique. There are no limits of age – anyone can enjoy it. It’s not just for Indian people; it’s for everyone, embracing multiple cultures and welcoming every single person.”
