October Monthly Roundup

Updated: Oct 29, 2021

Latest News

Aside from our school holiday provision over October half term (see post from 28/10/21), this month certainly kept the Hubb team busy! Please find below a roundup of the key highlights of what the Hubb Foundation team and those who help to support us, have been up to this month:

  • Skills Supply joined us as a new partner - delivering STEM-based, engaging education sessions, it's great to have Skills Supply on board as they join us as an enrichment partner

  • Kit out the Nation ends - in partnership with Port Vale Foundation, our call for unwanted sports kit for the BBC campaign resulted in over 1,500 pieces of kit going to schools across the city

  • HAF set to continue: Rishi Sunak's budget review included the welcome news that the Holiday, Activities & Food programme is set to continue next year

  • Christmas campaign announced - following the succesful Christmas campaign last year, we will be joining forces again with Port Vale Foundation to help provide Christmas hampers to those who need them this Christmas

Special Shoutouts

A big thankyou to all the businesses, organisations, and individuals who continue to support us. We would particularly like to thank the following for the support during October:

  • Thankyou to Refine Male Grooming for providing a donation to fund a school holiday session at Kingsland School during October - the children had so much fun and we're very grateful for your support!

  • While it took place in September, we want to thank Jenny Babb and the soldiers from the MERCIAN Regiment for choosing to raise money for the Hubb Foundation when running the Potters 'Arf. Also, a huge congratulations to you all from the whole Hubb team!

Coming Up

Next month, the team will be busy getting prepared for the HAF Christmas delivery (in partnership with Stoke-on-Trent City Council) so make sure you keep a look out on our social media channels and the 'What's On' page to see what free holiday sessions are taking place this Christmas.
